Aye! Once again it is time to resume the Battle of the Silos!

These mechanical monstrosities of another realm are the bane of our very existence!

I shall require aid! I shall call upon wizards and warriors from far and wide to join me on my noble quest! We must defeat these vile purveyors of pain and pestilence!

I shall need potions and elixirs! In battle one can sustain many wounds! (Trust me, I know!)

I shall visit the apothecary for items of healing and sustenance.

I shall petition the Sorceress of the White Wood to cast a protective spell over me and my allies as we wage this battle for the ages!

I shall make an offering to Greynoir the Frozen in hopes that he will accept, come down from his mighty mountain perch, and rain his frigid retribution down upon our cursed foes!

And last but not least, I shall summon the most powerful ally of them all. The most feared mage of the entire realm. Descended from the gods themselves. He who can melt the hearts of all with but a single look.

So, yeah, like I was saying, I gotta work tonight and the equipment is likely to be a real bitch. Wish me luck!

    Funny with those silos you took me back a very long time and a job I had back when I lived in Riga, Latvia. Back then I was instructing adults in the English language. A guy who owned a rapeseed factory making oil and other food products and growing rapeseed in large fields nearby said they needed someone who spoke fluent English, The factory was on the outskirts of a city called Iecava and about 45 minutes by bus where I lived. I accepted the job for a short while under the fancy title of Foreign Language Correspondent. Anyway the factory territory was a two story oblong administrative building and a huge factory where the products were made. In between the territory had four huge silos where the grains were stored.

      That’s pretty interesting! I know most folks are used to seeing them handling grain and think farm right away.

    Do I understand you don’t worship at the Cathedrals of the Prairie? A bit out of context I know but I have fond memories of silos dotting the landscape where I grew up. And my grandfather had a couple. Many these days seem to be replaced by short corrugated metal bins, a shape which visually appeals especially in a sunset. Then again, perhaps you refer to one of the more modern takes on the word silo. ๐Ÿ™‚.

      These are manufacturing silos. Nowhere near as visually favorable as the kind found on farms and prairies. And also the bane of my existence when they don’t work lol
