Bug out
The day I’ve predicted for so long
It’s here
Knew it would come
The path was set so long ago
Selfishness
Avarice
Hate
Power
It was plain for all to see
If they only opened their eyes
I saw
I knew
Get out of the city
Can I outrun the inevitable?
I have my answer
The solution escaped us so long ago
The signs were there
But we didn’t heed

To put it as bluntly as I can, we humans have a really bad tendency to keep doing the same stupid shit over and over again. In our own lives, and in the global community at large.
Learn your history. If you don’t, you’re condemned to repeat the same mistakes over and over again.
