A walk through valley
Shadows dark
Another life
Which missed the mark
In desolation
All alone
A crushing pain
Straight to the bone
An outcast true
A nomad’s life
The loneliness
Cuts like the knife
But in the distance
Shining light
A burning beacon
Dead of night
All an illusion?
Or hope at last?
You feel a spark
You’re walking fast
The light is moving
It’s far away
And so you walk

Nicely penned and great imagery of a distant light. Reminded me of those nights when walking with a full moon shining above suddenly we’d notice that the moon seemed to be moving across the sky and often wondering if after turning the last bend that moon would once again be straight ahead.
I wrote something for this image last night lol 😆 it’s in drafts….all 89 of em. Beautifully done as always, Kevin 😊 I think it inspires hope to keep going, even if it is one day at a time.
Thank you, Laura. In an ironic twist, It was fairly dark until I ended up on that for the last lines. lol
