I try not to

Daily writing prompt
What are you most worried about for the future?

This response will sound a bit flippant, but it actually isn’t meant to be.

I ponder things and think deeply about some, but I try not to worry about them if I can help it.

As a “seasoned” gorilla, I have learned that too much worrying is detrimental to both one’s mental and physical being.

If there is action I can take, I take it. If it is beyond my control, I try to release it, because carrying it around serves no good purpose.

This doesn’t mean I don’t care. I just try not to let it rule my mind if I can help it.

Have a great day, friends. 💪😊

      7. Some people like to make it known I guess their struggle everyday at the gas pump! I do feel it though, which is why I wrote it into my poem. Haha 😆

Kevin, your experience highlights the value of not letting worry rule our minds. It’s true, that we should focus on what truly matters which is to live more fulfilling lives.

    You gave a Great response.

Worry leads to anxiety, which ultimately steals our joy and happiness. Though it may sound somewhat flippant, it’s genuinely not intended that way.
As a Christian, I reflect deeply and give serious thought to things, but I strive to place my worries in God’s hands and avoid dwelling on them whenever possible.

I can’t change the outcome so why carry it .

    1. Hi Willie,
Thank you for the great reply.

Yes, I have learned, often the hard way, that excess worry can destroy us piece by piece both mentally and physically. We have enough to contend with already. Why make it harder?

Exactly. I have enough issues in my life to have to add constant worry, fear and anxiety. Those are to heavy to carry and the last thing I need is to add back problems by carrying so much weight. 🤭

  7. I love your thinking on this topic. Sometimes it can be hard not to worry but yes, worry can have a way to control us. It’s best to not worry about what we can’t change at the moment.
